Rescue Me is a drama about the inner workings of 62 Truck of the New York Fire Department and the men that comprise its firehouse. It can, at times, be a dark look at what kind of person it takes to forgo his own personal well-being and run into a burning building while others are running out. It also looks into the fraternal relationship that each shares with each other because few can understand what it’s like to stare death in the eyes and not blink. It’s these relationships that begin to define them. Sometimes, it begins to be a detriment to their family lives.Show started 2004 but did not come out in uk till 2005.

The series revolves around Tommy Gavin, a firefighter who must deal with the constant struggles with his estranged family, ex-wife, Janet, his alcoholic past, and the loss of his young son, Connor. The stress and fear of his job causes Tommy to see visions of the people he has seen perish and of his cousin, Jimmy O’Keefe, who lost his life at the World Trade Center on that fateful day in 2001. We follow Tommy as everything he has ever believed in is challenged and he must face who he really is.
